The Patriots pulled away in the second half to improve to 17-0, matching the 1972 Miami Dolphins, the only team to go unbeaten from the first game of the season through the Super Bowl. Tom Brady was almost perfect, the Patriots still are. Tow more wins and the Patriots will join the 1972 Dolphins."We're definitely going to enjoy it," defensive end Richard Seymour said. "Winning is always the most important thing at this time of the year."Brady completed 92.9 percent of his passes, breaking Phil Simms record of 88 percent (22-of-25) set in the Super Bowl after the 1986 season in which he led the New York Giants to a 39-20 win over the Denver Broncos. And Randy Moss had only one catch tonight, so Brady didn't need Moss to get them out of trouble.
He hit all other recievers, but Moss. Tom is just one of those kinds of QB's that finds a way to keep all of his receivers happy and stay fair. I was very shocked that the Jaguars Defense struggled against Bardy and the Patriots Offense, when the Jaguars have one of the best Defenses in the NFL. Maurice Jones-Drew and Fred Taylor had a fair night with both sharing the running back position. Fred is the more dominant and brick wall type of a back and Jones-Drew is the determined and tough back that just will not be brought down, unless he breaks a few yards for his team or recieves a first down. It was the Patriots however that dominated the ground in this one with
Laurence Maroney leading the charge, rushing for 122 yards, including a 1-yard touchdown. The Patriots look like they could not be stopped and with Brady,Moss,Welker and the rest the Pats, there's no question the only team that I think that can stopp the Pats are the Packers, but the Packers will have to be NFL Champs before they can get to Patriots or another team in the AFC.
